The project also offers storage capacity for emerging technologies that can remove CO₂ directly from the atmosphere, such as BECCS (Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage) and DACCS (Direct Air Carbon Capture and Storage). These technologies are essential for achieving long-term climate neutrality, as they help actively reduce the amount of CO₂ already in the atmosphere.

The project supports industrial decarbonisation, preserves jobs, and strengthens Europe’s position in sustainable energy. Scheduled for commissioning in 2029, L10-CCS is a bold step toward a resilient, net-zero future.
